As mentioned by a previous reviewer the box lists on the side that "the strap is only for the TomTom XL model and will not work on the other models." Also, some people seem to think the strap attaches to the case but if you have the XL model the stap attaches directly to the XL GPS unit itself, not to leather case. It's the same idea as a strap that attaches to a camera -- you'd have a little cutout on the body of the camera and you thread the little loop of the strap through the cutout and then push the big look of the strap back through little loop to secure it. Even though I have the GO model and the strap doesn't work I do love the case. Nicely made.

This sturdy, leather case is perfect for my needs. I was looking for a case for my TomTom 630 to protect the screen when I am not using it. The write-up says it's for a 720 and 920, but it also easily fit my 630. I feel it would fit all the TomTom 4.3" screen models with the curved back. There is no any additional room for any accessories or cables, so you will have to store them separately. There is also no provision to attach the case to a belt. The small strap that comes with it will not connect to the 630, but I wouldn't trust it even if it did.
One small annoyance has to do with the TomTom on/off button that is located at the end of the top edge. I have to remember to insert the on/off button end first otherwise my fingers will press the button and turn it on as I slip it into or out of the case. However, this is a GPS design weakness and not the fault of the case.

Considering I paid only three thirty-nine for this case, it is a tremendous value. Nicely made, great materials. And I read helpful submissions by other reviewers before purchase, so I knew it might be perfect for my Kodak Z915 camera, which it is - or will be when a bit of use loosens it up. I keep the camera and its ancillaries in a much larger bag but needed a protective small case for toting it around. I don't own a TomTom GPS and my Garmin lives in another case - this one a Navigon.
So I'm into creative packaging for my toys. Those who complained that there was no place to attach the nice strap that came with the case may have failed to read the small print that explained that the strap was for the GPS unit itself. I'm going to use my strap with my other leather case, the Navigon. Probably will sew a D-ring onto that. Like I said, creative use. Ha!
Nice leather case January 4, 2009

This is a very nice leather case.
Sure it's a bit on the high priced side but it's a TomTom branded nice leather case.
The strap doesn't work with the 730 (it even says that on the package, the strap is only compatible with the TomTom One XL)) but that's ok, the strap is not needed anyway, all I'm doing is keeping the GPS in it and protected.
If you want a simple nice leather case I'd recommend it.

Bought one as a present for my dad and liked it so much that I bought one for myself. It fits my TomTom Go 730 perfectly and it is nice to have a snap vs a zipper for quick storage. Nice quality leather. Note: the strap doesn't work for my model since there isn't a hole for it... but I probably wouldn't use it anyway.
